Prices in US dollars; tax or VAT is added at checkout where the law requires it. You subscribe inside the app, through Stripe — we never see your card. Unlimited dictation is subject to fair use: a 2,000 minute monthly ceiling, about an hour of speaking every day, which exists to stop abuse. If you ever reach it, tell us and we will raise it.

Audio travels encrypted, is turned into text, and is discarded on the spot. Your transcripts, history, stats and coaching are stored on your computer, not on our servers — we cannot read them. The app carries no advertising or analytics trackers of any kind, and we never sell your data.
How we handle your dataQuestions
Yes, and it stays free. Every account starts with 100 minutes of dictation a month, roughly 15,000 spoken words. We don't ask for payment details, and there is nothing to cancel.
On Pro you dictate as much as you work — no monthly allowance to watch. There is a fair-use ceiling of 2,000 minutes a month, about an hour of speaking every single day, and it exists only so one account can't run up the transcription bill for everyone. Almost nobody gets near it. If you do, email us and we'll raise it for you.
Pro monthly begins with 14 days at no charge. A payment method is needed to start it, and nothing is charged until day 14. Cancel before then and you pay nothing — your account carries on with the free plan. The yearly plan is charged upfront and doesn't include a trial, so start monthly if you'd rather try Pro first.
Yes. In Typally, open Settings → Account → Manage subscription; that opens the Stripe portal where you can cancel in two clicks. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, then the account continues on the free plan. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
Yes, from the same Manage subscription screen. Stripe works out the difference, so you only pay the gap.
No. One subscription is per person: sign in with the same account on your Windows PC and your Mac and both are covered.
If you're in the EU or EEA you have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Beyond that, write to us — we read every message and consider refund requests in good faith. The free plan and the 14-day trial exist so you never have to buy blind.
There's no team plan yet: today everyone subscribes individually. If you want Typally for a group, tell us how many of you there are and we'll sort out billing directly.
If we ever change it, you keep the price you subscribed at until you cancel, and we'd tell you before any change takes effect. That's written into our terms, not just a promise here.
