Your download
is starting.

Typally.dmg is saving to your Downloads folder right now. Installing it takes about twenty seconds, and because every build is signed and notarized by Apple it opens on the first click with nothing to work around.

Open Typally in 4 steps

  1. Open your Downloads
  2. Double-click Typally.dmg
  3. Drag Typally into Applications
  4. Open it, and click Open onceApple has already checked the build, so that is the only prompt.

Nothing happened? Try again, or grab it straight from GitHub.

If something went wrong

Three things that trip people up.

The download never started

Some browsers block a download that begins on its own. Click here to start it by hand, or download the .dmg directly from the latest release on GitHub.

macOS says the app is damaged, or won't open

That was the old, unsigned builds. Every release from v0.1.94 onwards is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so the only dialog you should see is the one in step four, with an Open button. If you are still on an older copy, download again from this page and replace it in Applications.

It types nothing after I speak

Typally needs two macOS permissions: Microphone to hear you and Accessibility to type at your cursor. Both are asked for once on first launch. You can grant them later in System Settings, under Privacy & Security. Still stuck? Tell us what happened.
